Psalm 130 : I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the lord, more than the watchmen wait for the morning, more than the watchmen wait for the morning .
Psalm 139: where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? …even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, the darkness is as light to you.
It is hard to keep vigil, to be a watchman in the night so that others can sleep and be safe. God keeps vigil with you and over you in the dark and the silence.
